Fall 2016 — Three Ways to Play!
Beginning this Fall, there are three ways to enter the playspace with the New York City Institute for Developmental Transformations:
DvT NYC “Play Dates” —
Saturday Afternoons (9/17, 10/15, 11/12, 12/10, 1/21/17) 3:30pm–5:00pm.
Perfect for people who want a friendly (but brief) exposure to the method, or for those who have done some training but want a way to dive back into the playspace for an afternoon. These introduction spaces give guests a chance to come and experience group play, as well as either participate in or observe individual sessions led by current DvT Trainees. Faculty: Adam Reynolds, Tami Gatta [$35 each, $30/Students, $125 for all five sessions] To reserve a spot, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
DvT NYC Fall Intensive —
Friday 9/23 (6:00pm-9:00pm) and Saturday 9/24 (9:00am-5:00pm).
This day and a half workshop allows participants to explore DvT practice more fully, including group sessions, 1:1 sessions with faculty, and explorations of the theory and principles of DvT. Space is limited for this workshop so please reserve a spot if you’re interested. Faculty: Navah Steiner, Adam Reynolds [$300, $200 for students if you register by 9/1/16.] To learn more: DvT Fall Intensive
DvT NYC Practitioner Training – Fall Semester 2016 begins 9/17/16.
For drama therapists, creative arts therapists, allied clinicians and artists who want to incorporate more play in their practice, increase their personal freedom in their work and life, and raise their tolerance for instability, our practitioner training meets for a full weekend each month from September to June. Trainees receive extensive exposure to the method and theory behind Developmental Transformations and its application in multiple settings, work with allied guest teachers, and receive ongoing peer support and supervision in a playful, creative, and collaborative community. Faculty: Adam Reynolds, Tami Gatta [$875/semester.] To learn more: Practitioner Training
We would love the chance to play with you. If you have any questions, or would like to get involved, please email us at (mailto:email@example.com) . DvT NYC supports diversity in training and in practice. Individuals of under-represented races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and socio-economic statuses are encouraged to apply.
