Spring 2022 — New Digs, New Play!

This Spring we are proud to announce our new partnership with Community Access, a powerful NYC agency expanding opportunities in housing, health, and human rights.

We will be taking up residence as a training program at CA's East Village Location, and working with CA staff to use DvT within their agency to make more room for play within the many programs they offer.

Proof of vaccination required to attend trainings; masks will be worn.

DvT "Play Dates" — 2:00-3:30PM on Saturdays, February 12, March 12, May 14, and June 11.  $35/session

Come join us in our new space for an afternoon exploring and playing within the method alongside practitioner trainees and new partners from Community Access staff.  For everybody: individuals looking to explore the method, seasoned DvT playors looking to dive back in, and everyone in between.

Our ongoing practitioner training is a 1- or 3-year program that (with additional DvT play outside of the training program) allows for trainees to meet the class requirements for either DvT Level 1 certification (1 year) or for full graduation as a DvT Practitioner (3 years).

Weekends consist of community-building work, embodied play and instruction in the methods of group, individual, short-form, and trauma-focused Developmental Transformations drama therapy. Trainees explore both the core texts and theories that develop DvT as well as allied practices and theories that contributed to its development and identity.

One semester + additional written work meets the criteria for a 3-credit drama therapy elective for Alternate Route RDT Drama Therapy Training. Training hours (with approval of BCT) can contribute to other coursework for that program as well.  Some or all of the training hours may contribute to LCAT Continuing Education training.

Core texts related to the development and practice of Developmental Transformations are located here
